Our neighbors have a little sugar bush that they tap every year. We've been able to help out for the past two. It is so lovely to spend time in the woods each day as the seasons change.
Together we put up about a hundred taps and we've been waiting ever since for the sap to flow. The weather just hasn't been ideal for it yet this year. The days have been nice and warm, but the nights just haven't been cold enough.
So we wait and hope.
