CSA is designed to give you the chance to support a particular farm because you like what they do.
Maybe you value the way they care for the land. Maybe you admire the effort they put into protecting wildlife. Perhaps you appreciate the care they devote to the animals they raise. Or maybe you want to be a part of the community that has gathered around them.
CSA farmers carefully track the costs they need to cover in order to keep doing all the things that make their farm a vibrant and healthy place to produce food. When you join a CSA you are contributing to an important part of these efforts.
