With the arrival of the snow Rich decided to give the pigs an extra bonus in their bedding. He pulled the stalks of sweet corn from our garden and took them down to the pasture to put in their shelter.
This is just the sort of gift a pig can appreciate. Not only are the stalks interesting in themselves--they also came with ears of corn that hadn't matured enough for us to harvest, but were the perfect treat for a pig.
They spent the afternoon sorting and arranging their place until everything was just so.
